Chapter 57 Cheating
Anders stared at Sally’s face as if trying to burn a hole through it.
“Anders,” Daniel intervened, trying to ease the situation, “this is at public place. Don’t make things difficult for her; it doesn’t suit your status.”
Daniel finished, giving Sally a complicated look.
Anders loosened his grip slightly, and Sally fiercely pulled her hand back.
“What? Can’t you stand being alone? You actually thought about getting married?” Anders sneered.
Sally coldly replied, “Yes! I’m getting married. So what? And you know the person–your good brother, Gale!”
Everyone was stunned by her words.
Mary’s expression turned odd.
Anders gritted his teeth and said, “What kind of joke is this?”
Sally scoffed, “A joke? Do I look like I’m joking?”
Anders clenched his fists.
If it weren’t for the public setting, he would’ve strangled this woman. and demanded an explanation.
She liked Gale that much? Enough to want to marry him in a wedding dress!
This vile woman forgot who she was married to!
The more Anders thought, the angrier he got.
Compared to Anders, Daniel remained much calmer.
Truth be told, when he first saw Sally in the wedding dress, he was Captivated!
He had always known Sally was beautiful, but seeing her in a wedding dress far exceeded his expectations
Daniel suddenly felt a pang of regret
If only he had met Sally earlier…
Realizing what he was thinking, Daniel broke out in a cold sweat.
How could he have such thoughts? He loved Mia…
Mia, with her keen instincts, had long noticed Daniel’s peculiar gaze at Sally.
She was furious!
That wretched woman Sally!
Wasn’t she always claiming to be sick? All her family and friends were dead, so why wasn’t she?
An idea quickly formed in Mia’s mind.
“Daniel!” Mia whined, shaking his arm, “Sally looks so good in that wedding dress! I want one too!”
The sales assistant awkwardly smiled, “Miss, our wedding dresses are all limited editions. This one… we only have one in the store.”
The assistant’s words naturally displeased Mia, “Only one? So what? Do you think I can’t afford it? What do you mean?”
The assistant kept smiling and looked at Sally.
Sally remained calm and suddenly smiled, “If Mia likes this wedding dress so much, she can have it.”
Mia’s heart leaped with joy.
Sally didn’t hesitate; she went to the fitting room and took off the
dress.
Mia eagerly went into the fitting room.
After a while, Mia emerged with high expectations.
However, the reaction from everyone was far less impressed than it had been with Sally.
Mia felt strange but confidently walked to the full–length mirror.
Sally couldn’t help but laugh.
Anders’s face remained expressionless as he looked at Sally.
The assistant felt a wave of disdain.
To be honest, Mia looked good and had a decent figure, but compared to Sally, she fell short.
Moreover, Mia’s waist wasn’t as slim as Sally’s.
The wedding dress Mia wore demanded a high standard of fit, especially around the waist.
Sally had fit perfectly into the dress.
But Mia…
The assistant felt a headache coming on.
But she noticed that Sally and the others seemed to know each other, and their relationship wasn’t good.
Sally seemed to be at a disadvantage, so the chances of her buying the dress were slim.
The assistant smiled at Mia, “Oh, Miss, you look stunning in this dress! It’s as if it was tailor–made for you!”
Mia was thrilled!
She twirled in front of the mirror and then looked at Daniel with bright eyes. “Dear, do I look good in this wedding dress?”
Daniel, loving Mia, nodded affirmatively, “You look beautiful”
Mia smiled so widely her eyes almost disappeared.
Mary suppressed her disdain and smiled warmly at Anders, “Darling, I see some nice wedding dresses over there. Shall we have a look?”
Anders didn’t refuse.
Sally couldn’t care less about them.
She walked directly to the second floor.
Daniel followed her without thinking.
On the second floor, Sally turned and asked, “Do you need something?
Daniel stood in front of her and asked, “Sally, have you thought about what I proposed?”
Sally was momentarily confused, “What?”
Daniel patiently reminded her, “Be my mistress–if you agree, I’ll have my driver take you to my private villa right away.”
Sally’s eyes widened.
This guy still hadn’t given up!
Holding back her anger, she said, “Daniel, what do you take me for?”
Daniel looked at her seriously, “Sally, I’m not joking. I’m serious.”
Sally clenched her phone tightly.
Suddenly, she had an idea.
“What?” Sally mocked, “Aren’t you always proclaiming your deep love?
Don’t you only love Mia? And yet you want me to be your mistress? Thats laughable, Daniel. Don’t you think you’re being hypocritical ?”
I’ll explain everything to Mia,” Daniel said, “Understand, I’m asking you to be my mistress, not my wife, okay? It means you’ll never threaten Mia’s position.”
Sally couldn’t help but scoff loudly, “Daniel, this is cheating! You’re justifying your infidelity, aren’t you?”
Just as Daniel was about to say something, a startled cry came from nearby.
Daniel turned to see Mia standing at the top of the stairs, her face full of disbelief.
Sally’s lips curled into a smile.
She had deliberately raised her voice so Mia would hear.
Let’s see how Mia handles this…
Mia walked over, stunned.
Daniel knew he was in the wrong but didn’t intend to hide it from Mia.
“Mia, did you hear what we were saying?” Daniel asked.
Mia’s eyes reddened, “Daniel… are you serious about what you just said? You actually want Sally to be your mistress!”
Mia burst into tears.
Daniel had no choice but to hold her and soothe her, “Darling, I still love you. You’ll always be my official wife. No matter what, Sally can never take your place…”
“I don’t care!” Mia cried desperately.
