“That’s not my intention.”
Mayra grabbed Hailey’s hand and realized that her body was
alarmingly hot. Hailey shook Mayra’s hand off weakly before passing out in the next second.
“Hailey…”
The door was tightly closed, but inside the ward, Alicia sensed something and looked toward the door. “What’s going on outside?”
Sonia said, “Let them be.”
-Holding the unconscious Hailey, Mayra tentatively touched her
forehead. “She seems to have a fever. Her temperature is abnormal. Mr. Gorman, please find a doctor for her.”
Shane frowned. “Do you know who she is, Ms. Sadler? Some people aren’t to be meddled with. Don’t do things that will upset Mr. Barlow.”
Would Anderson be upset?

Mayra hadn’t forgotten the time when the door to Anderson’s office was left open. She had seen the way Anderson looked at Hailey. If he truly hated her, he wouldn’t have looked at her like that.
She understood Anderson’s temper better than anyone else. She had
